2XKO is Riot Games' upcoming tag fighter game where players can team up with a friend to take on other duos, or instead take control of two characters themselves. The game is set in the same universe as League of Legends and Arcane, and naturally features some fan-favorite characters from both.
8 League Of Legends Characters That Need To Be In 2XKO
With Riot's free-to-play fighting game 2XKO on the horizon, these are a handful of League of Legends champions who would make perfect roster additions
A closed beta has been announced for September 9th, 2025, and this will act as a soft launch, with the devs aiming for the game to always be live from there on out. At launch, 2XKO will only have a small roster of 10 playable characters, and so far, 8 of these champions have been officially confirmed.
8 Vi
A Classic Brawler, Perfect For A Fighting Game
Vi is the latest champion to be confirmed for 2XKO and will be punching, dodging, and slamming her way to victory, armed with her iconic Atlas Gauntlets. Abilities and combos displayed in her gameplay trailer include a rendition of her Q from League, a series of rapid punches, and one move where she grabs an opponent and hurls them.
Players will doubtless enjoy pairing Vi with her sister Jinx, and given her brawling style, Vi's inclusion is a no-brainer for a fighting game.
7 Jinx
Chaos & Fireworks With Her Minigun, Rocket Launcher, & Chompers
Especially after Arcane, Jinx is arguably the face of League of Legends and other games set in the Runeterra universe. Naturally, she will also be a key component of the launch roster for 2XKO, fighting with her minigun, rocket launcher, and even her chompers.
Judging by her gameplay trailer, fans can expect chaos and literal fireworks whenever Jinx is in a game, with these fireworks appearing to push enemies away with each burst. She also has an ability similar to her ultimate in League, causing a huge explosion.
6 Braum
Friend Of Poros & Wielder Of A Massive Door
So far, Braum is the only Support from League to have been confirmed for 2XKO, and they couldn't have picked a better representative of the role. The friendly giant will use his shield, which in fact is a door ripped off its hinges, to both defend and attack, all while having a good time.

Some of his abilities showcased in his reveal trailer include riding his shield, slamming down like a wrestler from the top rope, and most hilariously, throwing snacks at an opponent and watching as a huge swarm of Poros rolls in to wipe them out.
5 Illaoi
The Kraken Priestess
Both in League and 2XKO, Illaoi is all about summoning spirit tentacles to harass and control her opponents. The golden totem she wields can also be used to punch enemies and slam them into the ground, ideally into the grasp of her tentacles.
Unlike on Summoner's Rift, Illaoi has a lot more mobility in 2XKO, and can also move her tentacles toward opponents, and these tentacles are capable of pulling them back down. As she relies on playing around and utilizing her tentacles, expect Illaoi to be one of the more complicated champions at launch.
4 Darius
General Of Noxus & Vicous Axe Wielder
Darius is a brutal commander in the Noxus army, and will likely feature in the next animated series set in the League of Legends universe. In 2XKO, Darius will likely be a beginner champion, wielding his axe as a classic melee fighter.
From what can be seen of his gameplay, his combos appear to be fairly simple, compared to other champions who are more flashy. This will make him an ideal choice for those who are new to the genre and jumping over from League.
3 Ahri
The Charming Nine-Tailed Fox
While there are still two more champions to be announced for the launch roster of 10, Ahri is currently the only mage, meaning her gameplay should stand out. In League, Ahri relies on her Charm to lure enemies in and control them, whilst dashing around with her Spirit Rush.
In this fighting game, however, Ahri will need to weave some melee kicks and punches in between her spells. Fans can also expect plenty of great skins for Ahri in 2XKO, such as a Dynasty skin, which is likely to be available at the game's launch.
2 Ekko
Manipulate Time To Your Advantage
After a shining role in Arcane, and even starring in his own game, CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story, Ekko will be a core part of 2XKO's initial roster, alongside two other Arcane characters, Jinx and Vi.

Expect Ekko to manipulate time to his own advantage, whilst whacking foes over the head with his modified cricket bat. Like Jinx, Ekko is also known for inventing his own weapons, so there will likely be a few new toys for him to play around with, as each champion appears to have way more abilities than they do in League.
1 Yasuo
The Wind Wielding Samurai
Whilst many League players hate having Yasuo on their team or facing skilled experts, there's no denying that he's an iconic representative of the franchise, and his Samurai skills will be perfectly at home in a fighting game. He will wield the wind alongside his katana, and dash through enemies, knocking them up.
Yasuo's windwall will also feature in 2XKO, protecting both himself and his ally from enemy projectiles. Doubtless, just as the case is in League, Yasuo will likely emerge as one of the most popular champions to play.
